Exhibition Design for Bianca Hester

UNSW Gallery, Sydney, Gadigal Country, Australia

I was approached by Australian artist Bianca Hester to collaboratively design a system of display for multiple bronze objects cast in situ, within a coastal region of East coast Australia. The region is contested due to the intersecting forces of naturally occurring coal seams and coal mining. Our design approach highlighted the suspension of coal between ground and industry, using vertical and horizontal galvanized steel sections to create a field of coal within the gallery.
