Site School (is Cool), Bhutanese Farm, 2024

A well loved timber structure, known to users as a ‘sculpture’ was provided with a canvas shelter to protect both the structure and community who use the space. The canvas increased covered space three-fold. Hay bales were provided as seating and display of meals, conversations and artworks, created collectively by artists and farmers.

This exhibition design was commissioned by Parallel Structures for the show Site School (is Cool), curated by Seb Henry-Jones and Lana Nguyen. The curatorial aim was to extend MAMA into the community, by creating an exhibition with committee members of the Bhutanese Farm, Albury-Wodonga. Sertori Lau was invited to contribute to Parallel Structures, working closely with Veronica Tello to develop a series of highly specific gallery interventions to support Parallel’s curatorial aims and the aims of the individual shows.
