Our Museum, Murray Art Museum Albury 2024
Three young Albury based artists were mentored by curator Ruha Fifita over two years. Their project for Parallel came together as a recorded conversation and physical artworks, including text, photography and moving image. The exhibition design provided a single circular bench inserted into the rectangular gallery for use as seating, display of the conversations and artworks.
This exhibition design was commissioned by Parallel Structures for the show Our Museum, curated by Ruha Fifita for Murray Art Museum Albury. Our Museum considers the relationship between art museums and the audiences who they represent, exhibit and collect.
Sertori Lau was invited to contribute to Parallel Structures, working closely with Veronica Tello to develop a series of highly specific gallery interventions to support Parallel’s curatorial aims and the aims of the individual shows.
