Lithic Bodies

Exhibition Design for Australian Artist Bianca Hester,

UNSW Gallery, 2024

In early 2024 I was approached by Australian artists Bianca Hester to collaborate on the design of her two-part exhibition Lithic Bodies, hosted at the UNSW Gallery and Clifton School of Art. The brief was to design a approach for exhibiting fragments of Permian‑Triassic ‘extinction line’ that Hester captured through screen print, casting in situ and off site. Our collaboration led to a series of thin posts and bars acting as lightweight armatures for the fragments. As bodies move through the gallery new connections arise between fragments.
