This interior fit-out for All Are Welcome explores the potential for a table to connect people with their surroundings: baked goods, air, coffee, kids. A linear section of stainless steel benching provides casual seating for sit down guests and curves to become a serving surface for baked goods and coffee. The curve subtly influences take-away guests to flow continuously in and through the space. The curvature of the shared table creates a conversational dynamic between guests and employees, revealing some implicit tensions in the conventional front and back, server and served model of hospitality. The tabletop becomes a site of connectivity and flux - table manners.
